I am having issues with planets, and a lot of things, like the “planets visited” squares, “friends and enemies” territory circles, etc. not displaying when I open the game, even through I have those options checked. I have had this problem before and every time I’ve had it, I’ve reduced the resolution and display options, screen size and any other settings that I could find that would take less memory and it has worked before. But now I’ve ran out of options as I am down to the lowest possible settings and still can not see the elements of the game to continue play.
I have a 2010 MacBook Pro, with OS X 10.6.7 operating system, 4 GB of RAM, and 171 GB of memory available to play the game. I contacted Apple tech support and they thought that since the size of the game was listed at 4.3 GB on my hard drive, that maybe I needed more RAM to play since I only have 4 GB now. I went to order the additional RAM and the sales person, who plays Spore, said that adding more RAM probably won’t help. So if I want to continue to play the game, is there anything I can do to resolve this display problem?
