Spore Civilization Phase Cheats

Having trouble with or want to have more fun in the civilization phase of Spore? These Civilization Phase Cheats will help move you along.

To use the Civilization Cell Phase cheats below, first open the command console by simultaneously pressing ctrl-shift-c. Later press the enter button to close the command console (or use the red x on the upper-right).

Spore Tips by Phase

General Spore Playing Tips

Your mouse is your friend. Get used to using the right & left click buttons for all phases and the scroll button for creating Spore creatures & vehicles, plus for zoom in & zoom out in civilization and space stages (very handy).
Remember in the creators that money is your friend, the complexity meter is not. Try to use the duller and more-rounded shaped parts to your advantage. Also watch out for parts that were used in the design at first, but were forgotten to be taken out later when editing the design.

Upcoming Spore Games

Not much is known about the game, but there is a Spore game being produced for the Wii. The name is Spore Heroes and Spore Heroes Arena, but ironiclay, takes place in the creature stage, even though the title sounds like a Galactic Adventure game. It is said to have a simple gameplay, and an easy, pre-made templates for the creatures you can make. The game can now be pre-ordered both from EA.com and Spore.com. Expect more information on the game in upcoming months.

Spore Heroes will be coming to the Wii sometime in 2009 (probably the Fall). The game is basicllay a giant creature stage, and the plot is alike to Spore Creatures. The game uses a gem of some sort insead of DNA as money for upgrading your creature.

Spore Heroes Arena will be coming to the NDS sometime in 2009 (probably the Fall). The game is said to work differently than the original DS game, but the capibility of better graphics and maybe a change from 2D to 3D is very unlikley.

The Spore creature creator launched on June 17th, 2008, which means you can start creating your creatures and share them here. Over 200,000 were created in the first 24 hours, which means there is a lot of clutter on the main site. Below you will find the best creatures created.

Spore 100 Million Creations Milestone

Despite a fast start followed by some big setbacks, Spore celebrates its 100 millionth creation. Let's take a look at how Spore got to the huge milestone achieved on April 30th, 2009 at about 5:10pm EST.

6/17/2008 - Spore Creature Creator launched allowing players to make creatures before the game releases.

6/18/2008 -Within 22 hours of launching, Spore hit the 100,000 creatures mark, which was a goal set for 3 months later. It didn't hurt to have celebrities creating creatures.

6/19/2008 - Not all creatures were appreciated. EA starts deleting and threatening to ban penis creature creations - unwanted humor that went viral instantly.

7/15/2008 - 1.8 million species of creatures created in Spore exceeds the number of species ever identified by scientist.

9/4/2008 - Spore releases to Australia and parts of Europe.

9/7/2008 - Spore releases to the U.S. and the rest of the world.

9/8/2008 - Mass disappointment with EA's digital rights management (DRM) causes ratings carpet-bombing on Amazon and the creation illegal cracks with DRM removed.

9/13/2008 - Thanks to the DRM issues, Spore becomes the most pirated game in history with over 500,000 bittorrent downloads.

9/24/2008 - Spore sells 1 milllion copies and has had 25 million creations uploaded to Sporepedia.

4/8/2009 - Shocking news that Will wright leaves EA and Maxis to start Stupid Fan Club (no joke). Turns out Stupid fan club will be partly owned by EA, so Will Wright hasn't really parted ways.

4/29/2009 - Spore reaches the 100 million milestone for creations in the game.

If all the various Spore creations were single occupants of country, it would be the 12th largest in the world.

EA/Maxis will announce the winner of a 100 millionth creation soon & we'll add a picture of the creature when it is available.

There was a massive flood of entries right at the 100 million mark . An estimated 90,000 creatures were uploaded just after 2pm in an attempt to make a mark in Spore game history.

Judging Criteria

Currently, the moderators are responsible for choosing the Creature of the Week from randomly browsing through Sporepedia. These creatures are mostly chosen based on their originality and how funny they are, but mostly we just choose whatever creature we like the most.

This is happening with my Spore too, I think it might be the version of the game, like on very rare console games cheats can noy be used or it may be your computer, I think it's happening to me because my computer is new.
