"I have managed to hack spore, I made a webpage with tutorials on how to hack it. So far there are hacks for making HUGE creatures, asymmetry, floating parts in all stages of spore (even the cell stage). There are more and more hacks being made, I have found a way to use the housing paints in the vehicle creator and the vehicle paints in the housing, I am currently working on a guide for that one. There is also a new hack posted on the forums by one of the members, ivanee, that alows you to create creatures with longer then 20 vertebra long bodies.
