Cheats killed my achievements

I knew that using certain cheats blocked certain achievements, but I started a new game on a different planet and the achievements are still blocked. Help?

i think you can't have achievements anymore even on other games of yours. i'm having the same problem as well. i am downloading the patch 1.02 and installing cute and creepy pack, and i am still praying that the achievements then can be activated again. if not, i'll try to reinstall the whole game. will update you.

here's the solutionbut you'll have to delete your saved games to revive the achievements back. delete the SPORE folder (but if you want, you can back it up) found in this directiory: C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data Do you find this valuable? |

They're calling this a "bug" but I don't think they intend to fix it. Certain acheivements carry over from one game to another, so once you cheat in one, you've affected the possibility of acheivements in all future games. This really stinks.I used cheats to help me learn to play the game. Now that I have the techniques down and play "clean" I can't get any acheivments, even on new games. With backing up the Spore folder, can you reload selected games that you want to bring back? Or are they gone for good? Do you find this valuable? |
