Spore won't even start!

I've downloaded it on Windows Vista, AMD Athlon X2 with ATI graphics and a Dolby sound system. Why doesn't it work? I've tried the usual ways to start it, putting the CD in, going to Computer and clicking the 'autorun' option, but nothing. Do you find this valuable?
