rivalry truble

I'm having a little trouble defeating this tribe that is much better than me. every approach I take makes my whole tribe fall! the only fact that could explain is, they have better weaponry and armor than my tribe. how can I compete? Do you find this valuable?

Only attack the weakest tribe that is available to you.
Once you defeat them you can get new weapons etc. and so will be able to beat the stronger tribes.
Also use your chieftan's special power once you attack, and focus on destoying the central hut first.
