After installation, my Sporedisk won't play

I went through all the trouble of downloading spore but no matter how many times I try to put in the disk no game will come up. I have updated my EA Download manager, but that doesn't seem to help. I also do not have a Spore game icon on my desktop, so I can'tclick that to get it to play. Where is my icon, and how can I get it to play?

Edit: I found it in my games file, but it says Not found:GL:5626 Do you find this valuable?

Try this for Windows XP:
Look in the Program Files section of your drive, then look for Electronic Arts, then Spore, then SporeBin. In the SporeBin file, double click on SporeApp.

I'm not sure about Vista, but search in the SporeBin file.
Mac, Even worse. I have XP so I don't understand Mac or Vista. Do you find this valuable?
